This Special Interest Group (SIG) at CAIML is focused on a scientific area that brings together both logic-based and ML-based AI methods, namely Knowledge Graphs. Almost every one of us has come into contact with a Knowledge Graph (KG): If we perform a web search, such as the Google search shown in the figure below, we do not only get a list of websites (shown on the left of the figure), but also a panel (highlighted with a yellow border on the right) with information coming from Google’s Knowledge Graph.

Beyond Google, the concept of Knowledge Graphs has become prevalent in both academia and industry, spanning many areas and domains.

The SIG’s special focus includes the areas of:

• Hybrid AI (logic-based and ML-based AI) in KGs
• Graph Data Management
• Semantic Technologies
• Financial and Economic KGs
• Supply Chain KGs
• Health KGs

Beyond these mentioned areas, the SIG Knowledge Graphs is collaborating in many other domains and with many other partners. We are open to all areas and domains - please get in touch with us if you want to join our efforts!
